Celebrated as the greatest racehorse of the 18th century, Eclipse is honored here with a stylized portrait of the horse and jockey on the lid, and bold, hand-lettered typography on the front reading "Eclipse 1770." The trunk features a distinctive tapered silhouette, reminiscent of an antique coal scuttle or grain bin, finished in a matte black wash that contrasts beautifully with the red and gold painted details.
