An impressive 19th-century French walnut bookcase in the Louis XVI style, crafted during the Napoleon III period. This monumental bibliothèque is composed of two sections: the upper cabinet showcases four tall glass-paneled doors with beveled glass and adjustable interior shelving on brass racks, ideal for displaying books, ceramics, or curiosities. Below, the lower cabinet features four solid paneled doors, four hidden drawers, and four pull-out trays with red velvet-lined insets, offering both concealed storage and practical surfaces for writing or display.
Elegant carved details, fluted pilasters, and a rich waxed patina enhance its classical presence. Completely demountable via a traditional lag bolt system, this piece allows for easy transport and installation. A rare and stately addition for collectors, libraries, or interiors needing architectural weight and refined French craftsmanship.
