This antique 20th-century bookcase, crafted from rich walnut, is a beautifully designed and highly functional piece of furniture. Of very good quality, it stands on a sturdy plinth base, offering both stability and an elegant presence. The upper section features a glazed bookcase with three adjustable shelves, providing ample space for displaying books, collectibles, or decorative items while allowing them to be viewed through the glass-fronted doors. The lower section consists of a blind-door cupboard, which opens to reveal a spacious interior with a single shelf, offering additional concealed storage. Above the cupboard are two small drawers, each fitted with its original handles and fittings, perfect for storing smaller items or documents. The piece retains its original key, though it is important to note that while the top cabinet stays shut, the lock itself is not functional. With its magnificent grain and stunning warm walnut tones, this bookcase exudes timeless charm and character. Additionally, it comes apart into three sections, making transport and placement within the home much more convenient. In overall good condition, this bookcase is both a practical and decorative addition to any period or traditional interior.
