In all our years of buying and selling rare antiques we have never had the priviledge of finding antique English library steps in a wheel barrel design. These handcrafted and solid teak library stairs are as strong and stable as the day they were made. The stylish design combined with the beautiful grain and warm patina of the solid wood is a real joy to look at. This fine library antique also is highly practical to use, because of its ideal size, its perfect stability and its strength and durability. Apart from the worn steps (where thousands of feet have stood on) and a few truly minor imperfections these steps are in excellent condition and they certainly are ready for you to use and enjoy. They will easily hold a grown-up weighing 200 pounds lbs and the look and feel (and patina) of this antique is simply wonderful. Besides top quality made, highly stylish and practical, these rare antique stairs also are a marvelous 'furniture still-life' (as we call it) and in the right space they will look unlike anything out there.
