Circa 1780 George III Armorial Crested Secretaire Bookcase, English. This monumental, important secretaire bookcase is surmounted by a superb fretwork broken arch pediment with central armorial crest. The bookcase doors with 23 glazed panes of interlaced Gothic glazing bar tracery
rosette carved corner accents. The base has carved waist molding above the well fitted secretaire drawer with 7 drawers, fretwork valanced pigeon holes flank secret document drawers surrounding the prospect door, over molded cabinet doors, raised on ogee bracket feet. Hooks for fall restored. Some cracks in glass panes.
