About the Item
Large custom made bookcase. It was designed by architect Johan Bruynseraede issued by bureau Contrast.
It was designed specifically for an interior design project by bureau Contrast.
The house it came from had an interior with iconic designs by Paul Kjaerholm, Ettore Sottsass, Geatano Pesce and Matteo Thun amongst others.
The uprights are made from steel. They are spaced by stainless steel spacers. Between the uprights solid steel rods are fitted that function as support for the thick glass shelves.
The entire structure measures 335cm in width.
The entire piece weighs around 4 to 500 kg.
Each section has 6 glass shelves that decrease in depth upwards.
