First trained at the Jerusalem Academy of Art, Ron Arad then studied at the Architectural Association School in London in 1973. . Ron Arad's first creations are furniture made with metal tubes and called "one-offs" because they are unique pieces. One Off is also the name of his first company. Ron Arad became famous in the early 1970s, thanks to the creation of seats inspired by the armchairs of a Rover, seats that he found in a car junkyard.
