About the Item

This double wide four stack mahogany barrister bookcase cabinet is attributed to The Globe Wernicke Co. circa the 1920s. This mission barrister case is a rare double wide configuration with a slim depth of 11". The doors open using the original square wooden knobs by pulling up and sliding back using a patented lift and recess closure mechanism. Another unique feature of this barrister case is the decorative satinwood inlay that showcases it's exceptional craftsmanship and really makes this case a standout among others. The top two cases meaure 10.5" ht, the third is 12.5" ht and the bottom case is 15.5" ht.
