About the Item

A Chinese elm wood bookshelf from the early 20th century with rattan shelves and carved apron. Created in China during the early years of the 20th century, this elm wood bookshelf features an open structure made of three shelves presenting woven rattan insets. The piece showcases straight supports connected to one another through a simply carved apron on all sides. We review all of our pieces and address issues we may find before they leave for your home; however, this is an antique piece, and as such it will keep its character and some imperfections, which is the quintessence of antique and vintage furniture. With its clean lines, tall proportions and wood and rattan structure, this Chinese elm wood bookshelf from the early 20th century will make for a great addition to any living room or study!
