19th century (Regency Period, 1820s) English mahogany canterbury. It is boat shaped with its silhouette upright supporting the dividers above one frieze drawer with turned legs on its original casters. These objects are called canterburies because the first one was commissioned by the archbishop of Canterbury in the late 18th century.
