A charming, early Georgian burr walnut bureau bookcase with original glazed panel doors over a fall front with fitted interior, above two short and two long drawers on original ogee bracket feet. During the 18th century this object epitomised refinement, combining a desk, filing cabinet and library in one. It told the world; we have correspondence affairs to manage! Now it will bring depth and character to any room, a very special piece with a particularly lovely, warm patina. In great condition.
