About the Item

A fine large two-door bookcase with sliding leaded glass doors and adjustable shelves, originally a built-in floor to ceiling piece, with a cut-in on the left side, built around heating pipes in the building. The top would have had molding that was integrated into the crown molding of the room. The bookcase dates to 1880-1920 and is in very good overall condition, with one small glass crack in the center panel of the right door, some losses to the top of the right side, other imperfections and expected wear from age and use. The back panels have been restored. Dimensions: 96.5 in H x 80 in W x 17 in D. Great addition to any library or study! Ref:54356
