We are delighted to offer for sale this exceptionally large and grand Victorian hand-carved mahogany display bookcase
This bookcase is one of the most spectacular pieces of furniture I have ever seen, the carving to the top is simply exquisite, the crown and floral reefs are hand chiselled out of one solid piece of wood, the fretwork above is separate and can be removed
You can fit an entire library in this piece, the shelves are all removable, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, apart from normal patina marks from honest age and use the piece is lovely condition throughout, it even has glass panels to the side so should you use it for display pieces as opposed to books you can see the items from the side and light pulls in nicely as well
