About the Item
An imposing Danish mid century modern bookshelf / shelving unit / hutch in teak wood UP Møbelfabrik, mid twentieth century. The glorious grain of this wood really shines on this piece in the right light, and the split level system ensures that there is ample storage without being too bulky: this piece is at once incredibly functional and yet elegant. The bottom drawers open to reveal more shelving. The piece dismantles into two parts for easier moving and storage, and is easily slotted back together with in-place furniture pegs and slots. Marked “UP / Made in Denmark” on the backs of both sections. Note that there is a plug at the back but this light function has not been tested and may require rewiring. Pick up in central west Los Angeles or we do ship worldwide; please don’t hesitate to reach out for an alternative (ie potentially more affordable!) shipping quote.
