About the Item
Unusual Mid Century Danish Modern combination bookshelf, desk, dining table, made by Domino Mobelfabrik, circa 1960/70s. The case features open shelves at the lower section of the piece, with a fold down table mounted in the upper section. When the table is extended, it reveals more shelving in the cabinet, please see images. The table is perfect as either a flat top work surface, desk or even as a dining table. The versatility and clever design make this piece perfect for a small apartment, or workspace.
This example is in very good, original, clean and real to use condition, showing only light cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age.
At some point the original owners added steel angle brackets to the top back exterior of the case, and then drilled a couple of small holes through the back, so they could anchor the piece to the wall. These are not necessary as the piece is stable when freestanding, but you can use this alteration when you place this en situ if you choose.
Hard to find form, desirable because of its beauty and function.
