About the Item
This extraordinary pair of display shelves exudes 1940's Deco elegance and refinement. They are square and austere, except for the quietly curved plinths at their bases. The exterior casework is palisander, an exotic type of rosewood, mostly found now in India and Brazil. The swirling wood grain is richly figured and quietly exotic. The interior shelves are light maple, with very little staining to better contrast with the dark wood faces that surround them. These display shelves have been expertly restored to their original beauty and luster. They are ideal for books or art objects. Being both simple and refined, they blend easily with traditional and modern decor schemes.
