About the Item
Well constructed with fine mahogany veneer with Federal style brass eagle finial on a pedestal. The carved cornice with urn form finials over a carved frieze. Two glazed doors with mullions flank the projecting center one, with two wood shelves and keys. The lower case with a slide pull over the hinged secretary, both lined in green tooled leather. Cubby holes and drawers are at the back with brass knob pulls. Two figured wood graduated long drawers are below center, flanked by short drawers. With fine brass bales decorated with rose buds on stems Lower doors open to a shelf each. All with moldings. Raised on carved spade feet.

Condition: The overall condition is very good with some age-related wear to surfaces inside doors on the sides and a few spot scrapes to the lower case which do not detract from the stately presentation.
