Need something to display your fine collectibles? Then this vintage bookcase with glass shelves is for you! It has an elegant look and classic style that will draw attention to wherever it is in a room. Made in England sometime around the year 1960, the wood chosen to craft this particular piece was yew wood. As you will see on this vintage bookcase, the yew wood has a relatively straight grain. However, there are some small knots on the cabinet doors and the result is fantastic! The golden hues of the wood really give the piece a warm glow. Coupled with the glass shelves, the lighter wood ensures whatever you display inside will be easily viewed. The entire vintage bookcase is topped with a lovely molded cornice. Both sets of doors lock and keys are included for both. The four glass shelves are not adjustable. The shelf depth in the top cabinet is 9.75?. In the lower cabinet a removable wooden shelf is present as well. Both drawers feature brass swan neck handles and are constructed with dovetailed joints. The dovetails are a good sign of quality craftsmanship. Overall this piece remains in excellent condition! There are some minor wear marks here and there, but they are small. The top of the bottom section (where the bookcase section sits) has scratches from the top being taken on and off but these are mostly covered by the top.
