About the Item

18th Century Country French Buffet in Stripped Oak is a testament to the rural artisans who produced amazing works of cabinetry using what today would be considered primitive tools. Taking advantage of the abundant old-growth oak in the region, they used solid planks from top to bottom, even hand-hewn solid planks for the back panels! Tailored molding creates visual interest throughout the design, including four raised panels on each side, and arched panels on each door. Hand-forged steel key guards and barrel hinges ensure centuries of daily carefree use. Doors and drawers open to reveal cavernous storage, which combined with the generous serving display surface make this instant family heirloom as functional as it is pleasing to behold!
