About the Item
19th Century Country French Buffet in Stripped Oak is ideal for enhancing a casual decor. Featuring two spacious cabinets and no less than seven drawers, it can be used in any room for any purpose. Crafted from dense, old-growth oak, it features a solid plank top with tailored casework enhanced by carved detail across the facade and an undulating apron with scrolled legs and foliate carvings. Each drawer is embellished with scrolled molding, and each cabinet door with mirror image contoured framework embellished with stylized foliate motifs. Each cabinet door and drawer is also fitted with its original scrolled steel key guard, and doors are hung with steel barrel hinges with upper
lower finials still intact ~ rare for pieces of this age. Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
