About the Item

19th century oak dessert buffet from France with a banded edge around the top , which also features a beveled and hand carved decorated edge. The top lifts to reveal another top, which can be used for serving. The sides are paneled, as well as the drawer in the front, although the drawer features hand carved decoration, as well as a hand carved handle. There are two lower shelves, separated by hand turned barley twist shelf supports, over a hand carved molded bottom edge. This is a lovely piece in a very unusual smaller size than most.
