About the Item

A very good antique French Provincial carved walnut buffet cabinet, circa 1820. The buffet having a molded edge with two drawers below each with a iron lozenge shaped lockplate, below are a pair of paneled doors, enclosing a single shelf. Below is a shaped skirt with a carved floral basket, the sides of the buffet with corresponding shaped skirts, the cabinet is raised on short cabriole legs. The cabinet has the original working locks and three original keys, the buffet is in very good condition and is ready to grace your space.

A good & substantial antique French Lyonnaise carved walnut Provincial three drawer commode chest, in the Regence style, Lyon, France, circa 1730. The commode being of serpentine form and having three large drawers, each drawer is carved with Rococo scrolls and shell motifs, the drawers with gilt bronze handles and escutcheons. This elegant, antique fruit wood sideboard was carved in Southern France, circa 1880. The Classic sideboard exemplifies the Louis XV style with a heavy presence, dramatic lines and intricate floral and foliage carvings throughout. The cabinet stands on small cabriole legs ending with escargot feet, over a scalloped apron heavily decorated with a center urn filled with floral and leaf motifs. The cabinet features a pair of drawers across the front dressed with heavy forged iron handles and matching escutcheons (and two fake drawers at the end!), over hand carved laurel and oak branch decor. The cabinet has two arched doors with recessed panels and dressed with oversized iron hinges and large decorative openwork escutcheons (and two fake doors at either end!); the middle doors open to interior shelving for ultimate storage.
