About the Item
Circa 1780 Louis XVI period country French buffet. Cherry with original cut steel hardware. Whorl carved, molded, panelled doors with central fluted section as part of the left door (note the touch of drapery effect carving along the top). Multi-molded edge drawers flank a carved rondel. Undulating, molded edge apron with central fan carving. Cabriole form feet. Tipped feet typical of country French pieces. Condition commensurate with age and use. 56 5/8" w., 26" d., 41.5" h.
