About the Item
A wonderful and richly carved English 19th century Regency st. Mahogany buffet. The buffet is raised on four square tapered legs with floral top carvings. At the center is a finely carved urn on a recessed panel, framed within a tied ribbon and floral patterns surrounding the urn of prosperity centering the two sliding reeded doors display fluted patterns with carved elegant chandelles. The doors do slide behind a striking carved Rinceau style side panel leading up to two drawers at the frieze have wonderful foliate carvings, flanked by a fluted pattern with a rosette, and centered by an urn. Above a carved border is the striking polished solid Mahogany top. All original warm patina throughout.
