About the Item

An extremely attractive and elegant French 19th century Directoire st. cherry and ebonized fruitwood inlaid buffet. The buffet is raised by eight square tapered legs with conforming ormolu sabots. Above the straight frieze are four paneled doors with ormolu keyhole escutcheons flanked by reeded columns with decorative diamond shaped inlays. Two small drawers on each side center one large drawer with two ormolu pulls and ormolu keyhole escutcheons. The white Carrera marble top mimics the shape of the buffet showcasing the superb proportions of this piece. All original hardware and warm patina throughout.
