About the Item
A stunning French 19th century Empire st. flamed mahogany, ormolu and fossilized black marble Buffet. The buffet is raised by elegant circular feet below striking architectural columns which lead up each side. Each column displays intricately detailed ormolu plinths and capitals with floral details. Above the straight frieze are three striking doors, each decorated with beautiful and most impressive butterfly veneered flamed mahogany. The doors open to reveal one shelf and the original top to bottom lock and hardware. Each door and drawers display most elegant ormolu keyhole escutcheons. The sides also display beautiful flamed mahogany panels while above is the original fossilized black marble top.
