About the Item

An elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany four door and four drawer buffet. The buffet is raised by circular tapered legs ending with ormolu sabots. Above are the two central and curved outer doors with attractive rectangular recessed mottled panels. Above are the drawers which are similarly designed. The doors and drawers are flanked by decorative vertical fluted columns. The doors and central drawers each have ormolu keyhole escutcheons with charming tied bows while the two outer drawers have circular ormolu pulls. All below the original white Carrara marble top with a mottled edge.
