About the Item

An elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany, four door, three drawer buffet. The buffet is raised by beautiful circular tapered legs with fine ormolu sabots. At the center are two doors which display decorative recessed panels and ormolu keyhole escutcheons. At each side is a single door decorated in the same manner and separated by a fluted column. The doors opens to reveal a single shelf. Above is a single central drawer with richly chased berried laurel ormolu pulls and a fine tied bow ormolu keyhole escutcheon flanked by two additional drawers. Above is the original Coquillier de Bilbao marble with rounded corners and a mottled border. All original hardware throughout.
