About the Item
A French painted wood buffet cabinet from the turn of the 19th and 20th century. This antique storage cabinet from France was designed with clean lines, and trim. It features a rectangular-shaped top, approximately 5.75 ft in length, above a case which houses three small-sized recessed panel drawers atop three recessed paneled doors below-which open to reveal plentiful storage within. There are fluted front side posts and fluted columns between each of the doors at front side. The chest is raised nicely upon four short squarely tapered legs which terminate into brass feet. The primary colors are a light wash of grey (which still allow much of the wood grain to show through) with a cream trim accent color. This late 19th century French buffet cabinet would work nicely in a dining room, or perhaps in a family room as a sideboard.
