About the Item
Buffet enfilade from mid-century France made of wood with a beautiful rosewood. The design across the front emphasizes the burled ash and rosewood as well as lemon wood inlay. There are four doors, each paired with working locks and keys. The doors open to a lemon wood interior. On the left side there is a single wood shelf. On the right there is a wood shelf and two wood drawers. The case piece is supported by a base with tapered legs. The base is ebonized and the front two legs are capped with brass feet. The credenza is in excellent vintage condition – the photos accurately depict the condition.
Originating in the 1950s-1960s, the Mid-Century Modern movement was based on functionality, simplicity, and an organic elegance.
