About the Item

A super example of a Spanish 17th century walnut and parcel gilt Papillero Vargueno on stand. The drawer fronts with bone inlays and columns with finely painted flowers. Central door opens to reveal three more smaller drawers. Wonderful colour and patina. This example must have had a good home to be in such great condition. From a private collection, Yorkshire.
