About the Item
Beautiful and rare example of late 18th century Italian master blacksmith craftsmanship. This exceptional antique studded safe, with its typical all-around hobnails and great wrought iron and gilt details, is probably from the Venice region and has a great metal color having been completely cleaned and polished while keeping the great patina of time, highlighted by the classic gilt decors.
The amazing lock and opening mechanism works with 2 beautiful keys with shaped hollow shafts. This tricky mechanism and combination starts with finding the releases hidden behind some decors to expose the key holes and then a secret sequence with levers and movements to follow with the keys that allows to unlock the safe and open the door.
On request, the interior of the safe can be completely customized either with watch winders, as a cigar humidor cabinet or liquor dry bar lined in leather with LED lighting and a custom base to fit your home decor style can be ordered as well. Dimensions and price are intended for the safe only, the base in pictures is not included.
