About the Item
Japanese antique 2 tier small tansu cabinet with sliding doors - made of quality Sugi cedar, finished with persimmon tannin
burnt pine ink.
Product of circa 1900s - 1920s (late Meiji to early Showa period) estimate from the style
conditions.
There're Sukashibori (openwork) ornamental pieces attached to the sliding doors of lower tier. Hyotan (gourd) and its leaves are depicted in openwork.
Both upper
lower tier have good storage and organizing capacity with inner shelves. It's durable enough for further actual use.
