About the Item

from Kanto area, Japan. This 2 tier, wooden glass cabinet is a product of 1930s - 50s (early Showa period) estimate from the style, material conditions. it's still durable enough for actual use. The sliding doors drawers open close smoothly. This piece is one of the "Ashed" line furnitures of my shop items - washed off the remained old vanish by the lye made from the hardwood ashes, then re-finished with homemade, water-based sheer matte polish mist made of beeswax linseed oil. Not shiny, but touches are smooth.
