1970s Good Sized midcentury Cabinet – Up Zavody 1970s Good Sized midcentury Cabinet – Up Zavody. Superb practical piece of midcentury storage by the Czech maker Up Zavody and designed by Frantisek Mezulanik. Czech was a large producer of high quality midcentury Furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. The inside of the cabinet features well spaced fixed shelves with two small drawers (internal dimensions 36Lx4Hx30W). The main cabinet is made from well figured birch with a contrasting sapele interior. The shelves are 41L and 74W with the top shelf height 17cm and a higher 20cm for the bottom shelf. The whole cabinet is beautifully made sitting on an ebonized birch base. Our workshop has gently restored the cabinet so all drawers and doors run well and the cabinet is in exceptional original condition. WORKSHOP REPORT Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
