About the Item
A 19th Century French Louis Philipe mahogany tall cabinet or stand, finely crafted of solid oak with beautiful veneer of flame mahogany and finished on all four sides. Hinged storage cabinet above and slim drawer at the top. Deep bottom drawer provides ample storage. Brass hardware with original working locks and one key. This was once a bedside cabinet and the bottom drawer pulls out to reveal a bidet with green fabric surface and handled lid, all removable, but retained for historic interest. In very good condition with finish retaining a nice luster. Minor veneer losses. Circa 1870-1890.
Dimensions: 27"W x 19.5"D x 38.5"H. The dimensions of the inside of the upper part (door) is 19"w. 11"h 16" deep.
