About the Item

A period Louis Philippe walnut bedside cabinet from France. Handcrafted and carved in the early/mid 19th century, during the transition from late French Restoration through Louis Philippe's reign, having a lighter grey white veined marble top with canted corners in the front, above the well made, good quality, solid wooden case fitted with two dovetailed drawers and matching escutcheon, over a single door cabinet, opening to a spacious interior, molded shaped base, rising on turned bun feet to front, block feet to rear. This classic Louis Philippe cabinet, circa 1825-1845, with beautiful antique wood tone, terrific grain patterns, character, charm and nicely aged, warm, rustic patina. It offers plenty of great storage for a practical and handsome nightstand. Sure to bring a stately yet unpretentious, sophisticated elegance to any space. Ideal for use as a nightstand, side table cabinet, end table, accent table, also the correct height for a lamp stand Dimensions (approx): 34.75" H, 18.5" W, 13.5" D Condition: Moderately restored. Great antique condition. Solid/sturdy. Lock on drawers does not work. Retaining some character, delivered cleaned, waxed and ready for many years of use.
