About the Item
For sale is a good quality 19th century French marquetry serpentine fronted display cabinet. The cabinet is crowned with ormolu mounts, with more below. On each side of the cabinet is a bowed pane of glass displaying the rich velvet interior. The front of the cabinet has a serpentine door with a floral marquetry inlay at the bottom. Both sides also have marquetry inlay below the glass. The cabinet stands on cabriole legs with ormolu mounts. The cabinet is elaborately decorated with floral ormolu mounts all over. The cabinet comes complete with a key.
