About the Item

An Indian Gujarat wooden bookcase from the 19th century, with carved rosette and foliage. Created on the Western coast of India during the 19th century, this wooden bookcase features a linear silhouette accented with an abundance of carved friezes on the outer frame, adorned with a rosette in the center. Four shelves make up the rest of the façade while the ensemble is raised on a bracketed plinth. With its elegant décor and dark patina, this 19th century Indian wooden bookcase from Gujarat will be an excellent addition to any living room or study.
