Where to begin, what a find, this piece really should be listed with the Antique Safes as that's more the style, I have never seen another example like this, it must have been a custom commission for someone with a Royal connection hence the Crown being front and centre at the top
The drawers have the original keys present, one turn and all the small drawers are locked, another and they are released, you then have depression buttons either side which pop the drawers out one by one, its really quite fun as you can see in the video
The piece is silvered metal, I thought it was Iron but it has the finish and look of German 800 grade silver, I'm sure it would polish up amazingly, the black fabric is nicely aged velour and the timber panels look to be pine
I would never normally sell a piece like this as its so unique however if I bring anything else home there won't be room for me, as such, it must be moved on to its new home
