About the Item

A fine rare antique American Art Deco walnut marquetry 24 drawer collectors or filing cabinet, circa 1920. The cabinet is made from very attractive figured and burl walnut, the top of the cabinet having boxwood line inlay with a geometric lozenge shaped device to the center, inlaid with ebony and boxwood. Below are 24 inlaid burl fronted drawers all with the original turned pulls, the base curves outwards and is deeper than the top and has a pair of cupboard doors, each inlaid with a circular burl wood panel with a circular fan shaped boxwood ebony device. The doors enclose a storage area and three vertical files, the cabinet is raised on bracket feet with a shaped skirt. The cabinet is in very good condition, it is ready to grace your home or office, a rare and unusual antique American Art Deco cabinet.
