Antique French carved oak storage cabinet Renaissance Roman Centurion 19th cent ~Direct from the Brittany region of France, an ornately hand carved antique French oak cabinet~ ~These cabinets are one of our most requested antiques, as they have so many uses in today’s home; from a wine cabinet to storage in the bath, to the kitchen, the foyer, just imagine the possibilities!~ ~Highly carved, with triple moulding crown and a large carved upper banding with raised floral blocks on each end~ ~Ornate door is flanked by bands of hand carved circles with floral and geometric designs~ ~Dimensional carvings on door include an upper arch having cherub with wings and a large carved laurel wreath around a centurion bust, wearing carved helmet, having carved bead, moustache and hair~ ~Carved floral and foliate designs on the lower drawer and the serpentine apron~ ~Each cabinet side also has carved panels in the same manner as the front~ ~c1890~ Measurements 61.25”height x 37” x 18.5”.
