About the Item
Antique folk art wedding cabinet dating from 1817 from Franconia, southern Germany. This cabinet has a warm appearance and enough details to immediately stand out. Suitable for an interior where craftsmanship, history, and color are given a place. The piece of furniture features the original 1817 painting in a beautiful yellow. The entire piece is beautifully decorated with rose heads, striped motifs, and small landscapes, all typical of the folk art of that region.
The cabinet has been completely inspected and professionally restored, with an eye for originality and character. The construction is solid, the painting is beautifully intact, and the patina is subtle. In short: the whole is in excellent condition, with an original working lock and a practical interior layout with shelves. Old, sporadic woodworm marks have been checked and treated.
Wedding cabinets like this are rarely found. The colors, paintings, and condition make this an exclusive piece of furniture.
