This is an antique pier cabinet. An English, walnut and boxwood inlaid display cupboard, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
An attractive cabinet, presenting beautifully with fine colour
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select walnut shows fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
Accentuated with superb boxwood stringing throughout
Front fascia accentuated with superb scrolled foliate marquetry
Adorned with ormolu mounts to each corner, framing the cabinet door
Bright glazed door dressed with ormolu lock escutcheon — in working order, key present
The fully lined interior resplendent in the original velvet upholstery
Offers a single shelf with graduated height above and below
Standing upon four bracket feet with a delightful serpentine apron
