About the Item
Original office storage cabinet made in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s by the Robert Slezák factories.
A clean, modernist form with balanced proportions, warm wood veneer and contrasting chrome elements typical for the Bauhaus period.
The piece remains in original, very good condition. It displays only minor, natural wear typical for its age.
All components are original and fully operational, including:
original glass panels,
original locks with keys,
chromed legs and details, showing genuine period patina,
original Slezák metal manufacturer’s label.
On the right side there is a fold-down writing compartment with original vertical dividers for papers and correspondence. The tall section on the left is designed as a wardrobe and still has its original pull-out rail for hanging clothes.
A practical yet visually harmonious design, combining storage and workspace, exemplifying the high-quality Central European modernism of the interwar era.
