About the Item

Carved, carved and gilded linden wood case. Inverted truncated pyramidal structure with trapezoidal cross-section, resting on four wavy feet carved with scrolls and leaves, as well as the uprights. Side panels carved with ears of wheat and grape vines, aprons and cymas with leaf carvings and scrolls. Central panel with open compartment surmounted by pair of winged putti, bunches of grapes, and intertwined side garlands. Floral carvings in the apron and scrolls in the cymatium. Italy, first half 18th century.
