About the Item

This small locking cabinet from the late 19th century has a richly aged patina that only time can achieve. Crafted of pine with a burgundy lacquer finish, the two-door cabinet has a sloping-stile design, featuring an overhung top, straight sides and double doors that open to reveal two interior shelves. Ideal today as a side table or nightstand, the lacquered cabinet is minimally decorated, accented only by full moon brass hardware and a wabi-sabi lacquer finish, burnished smooth along the top to reveal the warm color and grain of the pinewood beneath.
