Its wooden structure follows a vertical, rectangular shape divided into two connected modules. It opens through four doors, two in the lower module and two in the upper one. Each door, like the sides, features partitions with large glass panels inserted to display the objects inside. The back features original wood paneling that gives the piece its personality. The company was born from the union of Philippe and François Roche, owners of a boutique in Paris, and Jean-Claude and Patrick Chouchan, then owners of the Au Beau Bois store.
