Quartered oak "Cap Size" file cabinet with cast iron hardware.
Modular vertical file system by Yawman
Erbe, comprising five matched sections in quarter-sawn oak. Each drawer is fitted with original cast iron pulls and card holders, arranged in the firm's cap-size vertical format. Designed for use with index cards and legal documents, this model features roller-bearing steel suspension and sectioned construction for flexible configuration-standard offerings in the company's early 20th-century catalog. The paneled sides, lock escutcheons, and dovetailed casework reflect the brand's attention to craftsmanship and utility. Shown in "Y&E Catalog No. 1149" (clipping in photos).
Overall very good condition with minor wear to the top including small scratches and some missing drawer-front hardware.
