About the Item
Rectangular wood-framed display case by Frank Rieder
Sons, identified by the original interior maker's label reading "Display Cases of Merit." Constructed with a glass top and front, glass side panels, and adjustable interior glass shelving supported by metal brackets. The case boasts new green felt display surface from our shop and stands on a paneled wood base with square feet.
Frank Rieder
Sons were a well-known Philadelphia maker of commercial fixtures, supplying jewelers, retailers, and specialty shops in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The form and construction are consistent with period shop display cases intended for countertop or low-floor placement.
This case has been refinished in-shop and is in excellent condition overall. Glass panels appear intact but do have a few small chips on the edges as photographed. Maker's label remains legible.
This case measures 72"W x 20"D x 40"H. Interior space measures 69"W x 16.5"D x 19.5"H. Comes with two adjustable glass shelves.
